'THE DANIEL KEY'

Praying for Others MAKES A DIFFERENCE

“Effective intercession is offered with wet eyes, a broken heart, and bent knees.”  (The Daniel Key, Chapter 5)

PRAY WITH ME

Great, Eternal High Priest,

Save us from ourselves.
Free us from the chokehold of sin.
Protect us from our enemies.
Spare us from Your judgment.
We are pleading with You for an outpouring of Your Spirit on us, on our families, on our churches, and on our nation. Send down Your Spirit in Pentecostal fullness! Captivate us by Your love! Rend our hearts with deep conviction and sorrow for our sin! Draw us back to the foot of the Cross. Plunge us beneath the fountain filled with His blood, then . . .

Revive our hearts!
Fill our hearts!
Ignite our hearts. . .with a pure and holy passion to love You and to live our lives for You, and for Your glory alone!
Then use us to bring revival to the hearts of Your people!

O Holy God, look on Your people who
are called by Your name. Hear our prayer.
Listen to our pleas. Have mercy on us. Let
the Fire of the Holy Spirit fall fresh on us!

For the glory of your great name,

Amen

Prayer Partners MAKE A DIFFERENCE

“While everyone’s life hung in the balance, Daniel asked his three friends to pray. They did pray, and it made all the difference.”  (The Daniel Key, Chapter 4)

PRAY WITH ME

Great High Priest,

We worship You as our Mediator, the One who ever lives to make intercession for us. You are our invisible Prayer Partner. What would or could we ever do without You?

You know our weakness. And You know the enemy’s strength. You know that in ourselves we can’t seem to achieve the breakthrough that we desperately desire.
Your answers seem elusive, as though there is a blockage in the heavenly realm. We need help.

I remember when You sent out Your disciples, You sent them out two by two, knowing they needed each other in physical, emotional, and spiritual ways as they served You. And You have commanded us to “pray for each other,” knowing that as we engage in spiritual warfare on our knees, we also need the strength, wisdom, insight, discernment, support, and encouragement that are uniquely available when we pray with a partner.

Please, would You now bring to my mind the name of someone whom I could partner with in prayer, someone to whom I could be an encouragement, and who could, in turn, encourage me? Prepare his or her heart to receive my offer, so that our partnership will make a difference as we
achieve spiritual breakthrough.

For the glory of Your great name,

Amen.

Loyalty MAKES A DIFFERENCE

“God honors those who honor Him.” (The Daniel Key, Chapter 3)

PRAY WITH ME

God of Glory,

I worship You as a living person.  You are all- powerful and all- knowing. You are glorious. Majestic. Holy. You are seated on the throne of Heaven. The entire universe reverberates with praise of You. One day it will be my highest privilege and deepest joy to join in the throng of millions upon millions of people who bow before Your throne and to lift my voice in adoration of the One who alone is worthy of all praise and honor and glory and power and wisdom and wealth!

Thank You for the promise that on That Day, if I have acknowledged You before others, You will acknowledge me before the universe. Thank You for inviting me even now to enter into Your presence through prayer.

I ask that You give me a stronger conscious awareness of who You are than of who I am. Help me to care more about what You think and say than about the opinions of others. I choose to be loyal to You at any cost, knowing that on That Day whatever price I have paid will be worth it!

For the glory of Your great name,

Amen.

Worship MAKES A DIFFERENCE

“It’s amazing how the simple exercise of putting my focus on who God is helps put my prayer into perspective.” (The Daniel Key, Chapter 2)

PRAY WITH ME

We worship You, great God of creation.

You were in the beginning. You will be at the end. You always have been, and You always will be. You are the Creator who brings forth something out of nothing, who formed man from dust, who turns darkness into light, who makes the world turn, who sustains all things by Your powerful word.
We worship You alone. We set the needle of our compass on You . . . and You alone.

In the darkness, You are our Light.
In the storm, You are our Anchor.
In the face of terrorism, You are our Shield.
In time of war, You are our Peace.
In our weakness, You are our Strength.
In our grief, You are our Comfort.
In our despair, You are our Hope.
In our confusion, You are our Wisdom.
In times of uncertainty, when . . .
buildings implode, bombs explode, stock markets slide, people commit suicide, banks  collapse, businesses are bankrupted, and homes are foreclosed . . .
When the nations rage and the people imagine a vain thing . . .
When the rulers take a stand and gather together against the Lord . . .
When the earth gives way . . .
When the mountains fall into the midst of the sea . . .
When the waters roar and foam . . .
When nations are in uproar and kingdoms fall . . .
When everything gives way, You are the Rock on which we stand!
Help us keep the needle of our faith pointed to You.

For the glory of Your great name,

Amen.

Faith MAKES A DIFFERENCE

“Daniel’s repeated choice to place his faith in God, regardless of how difficult or dangerous the situation was, impresses me that he wanted to serve a God who is God.” (The Daniel Key, Chapter 1)

PRAY WITH ME

God of Daniel,

I worship you as the foundation of all real faith. Thank You for making Yourself accessible to all of us through a simple choice: the choice to take You at Your Word, trusting You completely to be who You say You are. Thank You for encouraging my faith by the stories of others who chose to place their faith in You and found You to be utterly trustworthy.

I choose to place my faith in You. Please help my choices from this moment on to so strengthen my faith that my life would be an example that encourages others to choose to place their faith in You, too. Make my faith contagious.

For the glory of Your great name,

Amen.
