April 6

Morning

He always lives to make intercession.

Who is he who condemns? It is Christ who died … who also makes intercession for us. § Christ has not entered the holy places made with hands, which are copies of the true, but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God for us.

If anyone sins, we have an Advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous. § There is one God and one Mediator between God and men, the Man Christ Jesus.

Seeing then that we have a great High Priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession. For we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin. Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need. § Through Him we . . . have access by one Spirit to the Father.

Evening

Those who know Your name will put their trust in You.

This is His name by which He will be called: THE LORD OUR RIGHTEOUSNESS. § I will go in the strength of the Lord GOD; I will make mention of Your righteousness, of Yours only.

His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor. § O Lord, I know the way of man is not in himself; it is not in man who walks to direct his own steps.

Mighty God, Everlasting Father. § I know whom I have believed and am persuaded that He is able to keep what I have committed to Him until that Day.

Prince of Peace. § He Himself is our peace. § Having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.

The name of the Lord is a strong tower; the righteous run to it and are safe. § Woe to those who go down to Egypt for help. § Like birds flying about, so will the Lord of hosts defend Jerusalem. Defending, He will also deliver it; passing over, He will preserve it.
