April 5

Morning

I will not let You go unless You bless me!

Let him take hold of My strength, that he may make peace with Me; and he shall make peace with Me.

O woman, great is your faith! Let it be to you as you desire. § According to your faith let it be to you. § Let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind. For let not that man suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord.

They drew near to the village where they were going, and He indicated that He would have gone farther. But they constrained Him, saying, “Abide with us.” … He vanished from their sight. And they said to one another, “Did not our heart burn within us while He talked with us on the road, and while He opened the Scriptures to us?” § I pray, if I have found grace in Your sight, show me now Your way, that I may know You and that I may find grace in Your sight. § My Presence will go with you, and I will give you rest.

Evening

Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith.

I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End,” says the Lord, “who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty.” § Who has performed and done it, calling the generations from the beginning? “I, the Lord, am the first; and with the last I am He.”

Sanctified by God the Father, and preserved in Jesus Christ.

The God of peace Himself sanctify you completely; and may your whole spirit, soul, and body be preserved blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. He who calls you is faithful, who also will do it. § He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ. § Are you so foolish? Having begun in the Spirit, are you now being made perfect by the flesh?§ The Lord will perfect that which concerns me.

It is God who works in you both to will and to do for His good pleasure.
