God loves Bible conversations, and so do I! Growing up in my parents’ home, discussing the Scripture was an everyday occurrence with my mother and father, grandmother and grandfather. In addition to daily Bible conversations, almost every Sunday night my family would gather to play Bible games. My knowledge increased as we would discuss our answers to the questions of who were the prophets, priests, and leaders in the Old Testament and in the New Testament; what were the names of towns, places and animals in the Bible, and other questions. To this day, I love to talk about what the Bible has to say, whether I’m on the phone with one of my children, having coffee with a friend, giving a devotional to my staff, or speaking on a platform.
Every morning, time permitting, my youngest daughter, Rachel-Ruth, and I talk with each other on the phone. After an update on my grandchildren, invariably we end up talking about what God has seemed to say to us in our devotional time. When we hang up, I’m always blessed by the conversation we’ve had. I understand the apostle John’s heartfelt exclamation in 3 John 4 when he wrote, I have no greater joy than to hear that my children are walking in the truth. I have had a front row seat in watching Rachel-Ruth blossom into a young woman who not only walks in the truth in an authentic lifestyle of faith, but passionately proclaims the truth in a powerfully relevant way. She has not only brought me great joy as I have observed her life, but I have been encouraged and enriched as she has shared her insights into God’s Word with me.
So I’m excited to invite you to listen in on our Bible Conversations! After months of planning and remaking our video studio, we are going to launch our podcast, Bible Conversations with Anne & Rachel-Ruth, beginning September 2nd. Who knows what we will discuss? I’m sure it will be whatever is on our minds: End times, fear and anxiety, what to look for in a potential spouse, how to bless our children, what is Heaven like, what is Hell like, does Israel have a right to the land? We would love for you to send us your questions so that we can discuss Biblical answers to whatever is on your mind.
Malachi 3:16 says, A scroll of remembrance was written in His presence concerning those who feared the Lord and honored His name. As Rachel-Ruth and I talk with each other about what the Bible says, the Lord Himself will be listening, hearing, and recording our conversation in His book of remembrance. You won’t want to miss it! Following a luncheon where I encouraged the 800 women gathered to place their hope for the future in Jesus, I spoke to a gathering in the Rapid City, SD convention center, challenging the hundreds of people gathered to wake up to the time in which we are living. All the signs Jesus gave in Matthew 24 indicate He is coming! Soon!
Once again, Rachel-Ruth and I had the joy of speaking to a gathering on the front lawn of Coach Sylvia Hatchell’s beautiful home. Friends and neighbors from far and near came to enjoy fellowship, great barbeque, and special music. We sought to encourage those gathered using Joseph’s Story: that God is with them, He is guiding them, and He will bring them through whatever difficult place in which they find themselves.
John Clark is a local celebrity because he served as a news anchor for WTVD in our area. He has retired, but he remains active with his wife, Val. Together they host a podcast, The Clark Report, and graciously invited Rachel-Ruth and me to join them for a meaningful and rich conversation.
