Read Acts 8:4-8, 26-40

I.  IN PUBLIC

  • Who was Philip? Acts 6:1-7
  • What was Philip doing in Samaria? What was his message? Vs.4-5
  • What was the result of these public “conversations”? V.8
  • Why did Philip leave the public meetings in order to meet with one person? V.26
  • How willing are you to heed the Spirit’s promptings to do something different?
  • Would you ask God to direct you to the person He knows is seeking Him?

II. IN PRIVATE

  • How did Phillip start a Bible conversation with the Ethiopian? V.30
  • What questions could you use to start a Bible conversation with a friend, co-worker, student, classmate, vendor or family member? Write them out.
  • What portion of Scripture did the Ethiopian not understand? Vs.32-34
  • Are you afraid to start a Bible conversation for fear you won’t have answers to questions? What can you do to increase your Bible knowledge?

  • What was the result of this private conversation? Vs.36-39
