December 29

Morning

Understand what the will of the Lord is.

This is the will of God, your sanctification. § Now acquaint yourself with Him, and be at peace; thereby good will come to you. § This is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent. § We know that the Son of God has come and has given us an understanding, that we may know Him who is true; and we are in Him who is true, in His Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God and eternal life.

We … do not cease to pray for you, and to ask that you may be filled with the knowledge of His will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding. § The God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, … give to you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him, the eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that you may know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints, and what is the exceeding greatness of His power toward us who believe, according to the working of His mighty power.

Evening

Draw near to God and He will draw near to you.

Enoch walked with God. § Can two walk together, unless they are agreed? § It is good for me to draw near to God.

The Lord is with you while you are with Him. If you seek Him, He will be found by you; but if you forsake Him, He will forsake you … When in their trouble [Israel] turned to the Lord God of Israel, and sought Him, He was found by them.

For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope. Then you will call upon Me and go and pray to Me, and I will listen to you. And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart.

Therefore, brethren, having boldness to enter the Holiest by the blood of Jesus, by a new and living way … and having a High Priest over the house of God, let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith.
