November 14

Morning

You are my help and my deliverer; do not delay, O my God.

The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord, and He delights in his way. Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down; for the Lord upholds him with His hand. § In the fear of the Lord there is strong confidence, and His children will have a place of refuge. § Who are you that you should be afraid of a man who will die, and of the son of a man who will be made like grass? And you forget the Lord your Maker.

I am with you to deliver you. § Be strong and of good courage, do not fear nor be afraid of them; for the Lord your God, He is the One who goes with you. He will not leave you nor forsake you.

I will sing of Your power; yes, I will sing aloud of Your mercy in the morning; for You have been my defense and refuge in the day of my trouble. § You are my hiding place; You shall preserve me from trouble; You shall surround me with songs of deliverance.

Ps. 40:17; 37:23–24; Prov. 14:26;

Evening

How will you do in the floodplain of the Jordan?

For the Jordan overflows all its banks during the whole time of harvest. The priests who bore the ark of the covenant of the Lord stood firm on dry ground in the midst of the Jordan; and all Israel crossed over on dry ground, until all the people had crossed completely over the Jordan.

We see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels, for the suffering of death crowned with glory and honor, that He, by the grace of God, might taste death for everyone.

Though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me. § When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow you.

Do not be afraid; I am the First and the Last. I am He who lives, and was dead, and behold, I am alive forevermore. Amen. And I have the keys of Hades and of Death.
