Confession MAKES A DIFFERENCE

“I am convinced that the key to revival is repentance.”  (The Daniel Key, Chapter 15)

PRAY WITH ME

Most Holy Lord,

You have “clothed me with the garments of salvation and arrayed me in a robe of [Your]
righteousness . . . as a bride adorns herself with her jewels.”

But in my Christian walk I am still in rags;
My best prayers are stained with sin;
My penitential tears are muddied with self.
I need to repent of my repentance;
I need my tears to be washed . . .
I have sinned times without number,
And been guilty of pride and unbelief,
Of failure to find Thy mind in Thy Word,
Of neglect to seek Thee in my daily life.
I confess . . .
I am so slow to learn,
So prone to forget
Too weak to climb;
Destroy in me every lofty thought, Break pride to pieces and scatter it to the winds,
Annihilate each clinging shred of self- righteousness,
Implant in me true lowliness of spirit . . .
Open in me a fount of penitential tears,
Break me, then bind me up.

For the glory of Your great name,

Amen.
