Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshing may come from the Lord. Acts 3:19
What a joy it was to share in the 175th Anniversary of Tremont Temple Baptist Church on Beacon Hill in downtown Boston this past weekend! Abraham Lincoln and Dwight L. Moody both preached at this church. The Emancipation Proclamation was first read from this church. Charles Dickens read The Christmas Carol at this church! So much incredible history saturates the walls.
It is now pastored by my husband’s brother, Dr. Denton Lotz. It was my privilege to give the Sunday morning message on November 9th.
So from the very spot called “America’s Pulpit”, I proclaimed what I believe to be God’s message to His people today. It’s a message calling God’s people to return to the Cross and repent of their sin in order to get right with Him. When the invitation was given, it seemed as though half of the audience came forward. Tears were on many faces, and also in my eyes, as I led them in a prayer of confession and commitment.
Please join with us as we continue to pray for the revival of the hearts of His people in Boston and throughout this nation.
