Fall 2014

“Because You have been my help, therefore
in the shadow of Your wings I will rejoice.”
–Psalm 63:7

double_rainbowOn July 8th, the day after our 777: An Urgent Call to Prayer for our nation, this double rainbow appeared over the capitol in Washington, DC. It seemed to be God’s visible response to our prayers, assuring us He had heard our cries and Heaven was moved.

This past year has been characterized by hardships. It began with Danny, my husband, coming home after two months in the hospital and rehab due to back-to-back pneumonias and all the complications associated with them. While it was wonderful to have him home, my caregiving took on a new dimension which seems to increase on a daily basis. Danny has had three hospitalizations since then. On one occasion, the medical staff did not think he would pull through and talked to me about end of life procedures. But three days later, he walked out of the hospital! Since then, he has dealt with a broken kneecap, broken ribs, and a troublesome dialysis fistula.

delegation_with_jrJoel Rosenberg, Anne’s good friend and NY Times best-selling author (pictured in white shirt on front row), joined the Solidarity with Israel delegation in Jerusalem on their last day. Joel and his family had taken up residency and citizenship in Israel the very week Anne and the group were there. Joel will also be partnering with Anne for her first prophecy seminar at The Cove in March.

But overshadowing all of these difficulties has been the Lord’s help. It has been demonstrated over and over again through wisdom to make right decisions, through eyes to see the next assignment, through strength to complete each and every task, through grace to handle emergencies with poise and peace, through staff and ministry partners who have supported and encouraged me, through moments of joy sprinkled throughout the days that sparkle like diamonds against the black velvet of hardship…the list goes on and on.

tree-plantingAnne and her daughter, Morrow, planted a small oak tree as a symbol of hope for the nation of Israel. The two prayed as they planted that God would protect His people and His land, growing up the faith of many Jews who would come to recognize and receive Jesus…Yeshua… as their Messiah, Savior, and Lord.

The Lord’s help has once again been on display the very week that I am writing this newsletter. Three mornings a week, Danny goes to dialysis because of end-stage renal failure. On Thursday morning, Danny was sent home after only 90 minutes in dialysis instead of his full 5 hours. I was told that his fistula, which had just been worked on at an access center the week before, was not functioning. In talking to the nurse, I was told that the dialysis center would try once again on Friday morning, but that if his port still didn’t function properly, he would be sent to the surgeon who would insert a catheter in his chest while they tried to come up with a solution to the problem.

patterns-and-promises (1)One of this year’s ministry highlights for Anne was to participate in The Patterns and Promises Prophecy Conference at Maranatha Chapel in San Diego. The conference was attended by thousands, carried on live radio to tens of thousands more, and streamed live throughout CA. It was hosted by the pastor, Ray Bentley. On Saturday the speakers participated in a panel discussion, answering questions from the audience. Seated left to right: Pastor Ray Bentley, Anne, Pastor Mike MacIntosh, and Tom Doyle. Not pictured is Dr. David Jeremiah.

Friday morning, I drove Danny to the dialysis center, walked in with him, spoke to the in-charge nurse, and told her I wanted to speak with the technician who would be accessing the fistula for dialysis. When she asked why, I told her I wanted to pray with him. She laughed in my face. While I don’t know what she was thinking, her whole expression was, “This is a joke. Very funny.” I ignored her reaction, looked her squarely in the eye, and told her that my husband was struggling with a broken kneecap, broken ribs, and now this. We had had enough. We did not want to deal with a non-functional fistula or surgery, and it was time to pray. As she waved the technician over, she was still laughing, and in a mocking tone said, “She wants to pray for you.” The technician responded, “I would like that.” And he bowed his head. With Danny and the laughing lady standing with the respectful technician, I prayed! And God answered! The fistula worked, and is still working as I write this. Because God is an ever-present Help in our troubles.

studioRadio, writing, and social media are increasingly playing a primary role as the channel for Anne’s ministry. While we have had a radio studio in our office, we have invested in a new in-house video studio that includes cameras, microphones, lighting, and a green screen so we can digitally modify the background

Our experience reminded me of a story in the New Testament. (Luke 8:40-56) Jairus, the ruler of the synagogue, had come to Jesus, fallen at His feet, and pleaded for His help to save his twelve-year-old daughter who was dying. But before Jesus arrived at the home, the daughter died. When Jesus entered the home, He instructed the people who had gathered to, “Stop wailing…she is not dead but asleep.” They laughed at Him! But Jesus ignored their evaluation of her condition, took the little girl by the hand, and raised her up. The laughter immediately turned into astonishment!

websiteOver a year ago, we made the strategic decision to change our website from functioning primarily as an electronic brochure or catalog, to one that functions primarily as a ministry. The changes in the appearance of this newsletter reflect the look of the new website. Coming soon…

As we enter into this Thanksgiving and Christmas season, I am rejoicing in our ever-present Helper who can raise our children from the dead, who can give a dialysis technician skill to access successfully a damaged fistula, who can give a brave husband strength to endure, and who turns mocking laughter into astonishment! And in the process gives a worn-out caregiver comfort, encouragement, and hope!

For His Glory,

The Holy Spirit: Jesus in You

Sometimes life can be overwhelming. Problems. Pressures. Pain. All of these or any one of these, holy-spiritwhen added to daily responsibilities, can make us feel that life is just too much. When the disciples felt overwhelmed, Jesus told them He would ask the Father, who would send them a Helper, the Holy Spirit. Then Jesus added that they would be better off with the Holy Spirit than with Himself. How could that be? Who is the mysterious third person of the Trinity? To find out, join Anne on the Southern Steps of the Old City of Jerusalem, the most likely place

where the Holy Spirit was given at Pentecost and the church was born. Her message is based on the comfort and challenge of Jesus’ description of the Holy Spirit in John 16:5-16.

To the Ones Left Behind

left-behind-150
…This same Jesus, Who has been taken from you into heaven, will come back in the same way you have seen Him go into heaven.  — Acts 1:11

I can almost hear the last Trumpet being tuned for the one blast that will announce the beginning of the end.  When that moment comes, and we are caught up to meet the Lord, what will you wish you had said to those we left behind?  Because I don’t want to have any regrets, these four messages on this DVD are an answer to that question.

Inspiring worship will be led by Selah.
