March 1

Morning

The fruit of the Spirit is love.

God is love, and he who abides in love abides in God, and God in him. § The love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us. § To you who believe, He is precious. § We love Him because He first loved us. § The love of Christ compels us, because we judge thus: that if One died for all, then all died; and He died for all, that those who live should live no longer for themselves, but for Him who died for them and rose again.

You yourselves are taught by God to love one another. § This is My commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you. § Above all things have fervent love for one another, for “love will cover a multitude of sins.” § Walk in love, as Christ also has loved us and given Himself for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet-smelling aroma.

Evening

The-Lord-Is-My-Banner.

God is for us, who can be against us? § The Lord is on my side; I will not fear. What can man do to me?

You have given a banner to those who fear You.

The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid? Though an army may encamp against me, my heart shall not fear; though war may rise against me, in this I will be confident.

Now look, God Himself is with us as our head. § The Lord of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge.

These will make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb will overcome them.

Why do the nations rage, and the people plot a vain thing? … He who sits in the heavens shall laugh; the Lord shall hold them in derision. § Take counsel together, but it will come to nothing; speak the word, but it will not stand, for God is with us.
